So, this is my first time in NYC and I visited Carries Stoop the otherday on Perry Street, and yeah it is still chained off so you cant go on the steps.
So does someone still live there ? I know the inside of her apt was a set but I wonder if they owners still stayed in the apt while filming or if they moved out durring filming.
I cant even imagine what it must cost to live there,
anyone on here live on Perry Steet near her stoop, if so, what was it like when the were filming ?

For those who keep posting asking what the address is, please review this thread first, as it's been posted numerous times.
Yes, the building is and always has been occupied with real residents. The foot traffic after the movie must have seriously pushed them over the edge because the chain across the stoop steps is very recent. They used to allow ppl to take pictures on the steps as long as they were quiet, fast, respectful of the space and did not loiter. I was afraid that people would get overzealous. If I lived there I would tear my hair out as well, but they've been easy going about it for years, up to right now. The moment that address was listed on the internet, it was doomed.
Yes, it would cost millions to own a unit in that brownstone (no exaggeration), or any building on that block, for that matter.
As for SJP's real address, if someone knows it I certainly hope they are smart and responsible enough NOT to post that on the internet, for obvious reasons. That would be a complete invasion of privacy, pervy, and they could probably sue. Don't do it.
