Some places might be able to store the chair, but I wouldn't count on it. Space is very tight, and typical storage areas (cloak rooms) won't accommodate a wheelchair. However, most (not all!) restaurants are wheelchair accessible, so she'd be able to sit in the chair during dinner.
You should contact the restaurant (or theater, or any venue) ahead of time to ask whether they c

I can't answer your question, but I wanted to say that I'm also a fan of that Central Park West skyline. If you don't already know about The City Review site, here's a link. Scroll down a ways and you'll find the Central Park West section, with links to articles about those fabulous buildings.
If you're planning to photograph the CPW skyline, you might also

I can't give you legal advice, but it sure sounds like an illegal sublet. But before you rat out the tenant, consider what the consequences will be for you both. She will likely lose the apartment. However, since it sounds as if she's already moved out, her only loss would probably be her own deposit. You will lose your deposit and be out on the street.
Honestly, I would do not

Thankfully we don't have a Walmart in New York. We do have Target and Kmart. Also Home Depot and the wholesale mecca, Costco (my personal favorite, though they do require a membership fee).
Have you considered how you're going to ship everything home? Customs duties are very expensive, so is shipping!
Also, I don't understand your address. What does "down the west en

As I said, I would recommend staying in a neighborhood with lots of local shops and restaurants that are open late. That's why I particularly like the upper west side, where you're comfortable s

It is not an area I would choose as a tourist. I would prefer to stay closer to midtown, or in a residential area like the upper west side, where the streets are lined with local shops and cafes.
Also, I don't know of any hotel that is on 160th Street. Do you have a name or a link?

How awful! The same company that operates the Bateaux cruises also offers Spirit of New York dinner cruises. I'm surprised they didn't offer you that instead. It looks a bit less formal, but you'd be fine in your formal dress. I would contact them right away and see what they can do for you. Obviously, let them know it's your wedding night.
I also just checked the Rive

The most direct transit to Yankee Stadium is the #4 train that runs up the east, or the D train that runs up the west side. So it's pretty easy from most Manhattan locations.
How many people are you and how many beds will you need? I don't know what your "moderate budget" is, but even budget hotels like the Salisbury and the UN Plaza are showing around $350 a night (inclu

When they first closed it off, you were still able to pop inside and see it before they chased you out. Unfortunately, they stop you right at the door now.
I've been trying to get inside 1 Wall Street and keep getting stopped at the door. It's frustrating, I know. These grand lobbies were built to be shown, not hidden.

There are some wonderful images here. By far my favorite is the first one, Jin Suk's silhouetted design.

I love the Boathouse Restaurant in Central Park. I don't believe they take reservations for brunch, but you'll be fine if you get there when they open at 9:30. By mid morning it's crowded.
If the weather is nice, rent a rowboat after brunch, or take a ride on the Boathouse's gondola. But even if it's raining, the Boathouse is lovely.

To update goings-on in the red-tailed hawk world, sadly, New York lost two much-loved hawks. First, Washington Square Park's Violet died in December, after she underwent surgery to try and save her. And just this week, Central Park's Lima, the mate of Pale Male, was found dead, apparently after eating a poisoned rat.
But hawks move on. Pale Male lost no time in finding a new roman

After the 911 memorial, take the E from the World Trade Center station, which is right next to the memorial. That's the last stop on the E, so don't look for a direction sign, it'll be going uptown, and wil make all local stops along the way. FYI, the A is an express train (it skips 23rd St.), and the local C doesn't stop at the World Trade Center.

The subway is quick and easy. Don't all stand in one spot on the subway platform, it's not likely that you all will fit in one subway car, and your group will be blocking the platform. You're better off separating into smaller groups. And make sure everyone has directions in case you're separated.
Don't confuse subway routes, which are designated with a number or le
