I haven't seen the current revival, but I'd avoid front row orchestra seats anyway. It's way too close, you're usually craning your neck to look up, and you're likely to be showered with spit every time a big song is belted out. I'd go for the center mezz tickets.

Definitely July! We have lots of parks and green spaces that are bare in April but lush and beautiful in July. It's just a prettier place then. The days are longer too. And everyone seems to live outside, with lots of sidewalk cafes, rooftop and garden restaurants all over the place. There are also lots of outdoor activities, from free kayaking to free outdoor movies, plays and concerts

TripAdvisor's pizza ratings are useless. How can a tourist say one place makes "the best pizza" unless they've been to all the others? They have no way to compare unless they do. I like TripAdvisor for hotel reviews, though their ratings system is bizarre. But for restaurant reviews, I rely on yelp, which are mostly written by locals.

There are two Airtrain destinations - Howard Beach and Jamaica. Take the Howard Beach Airtrain. You pay $5 per person as you exit.
Then take the Manhattan-bound A subway to Jay Street/Metrotech. Transfer there for the Manhattan-bound F subway to East Broadway. Your hotel is one block away.
If you're going to be here for at least four days, your best bet is the 7-day unlimited rid

It's possible, but it will involve taking four buses and will take 2 1/2 hours. The subway will involve one transfer and total travel time will be about an hour.
You can use the Trip Planner on the MTA web site.

You know what's frustrating? Taking the time to respond, and then never hearing back, not even a "thank you." Now, I'm not motivated to respond because I want to be thanked. I'm happy to help make someone's NYC visit better if I can. But it's tiring when people pose a query and then never come back to get their answer, or they do, and then ignore the fact th

If your goal is to live here, make sure you have a plan. Dropping out of college isn't a great first step, I'm afraid. The best you could hope for without a degree is a minimum wage job. If you figure three people sharing an apartment, each share would be at least $1,000 a month. Transportation is $112 a month. Add the cost of utilities, food, clothing and other basic expenses.

Generally, I prefer using JFK because it's easy to hop the Airtrain and connect to the subway. But Central Park is big! Saying your hotel is near the park doesn't narrow it down much. What's the name/address of the hotel? I'd be happy to help you with directions.

There are 25,000 restaurants in New York, so you'll have no trouble finding great places to eat. Have a look at menupages.com. You can cull the list by neighborhood, cuisine, ratings and price. Menupages is easy to use, but I prefer the reviews on yelp.com because I feel they're mostly written by frequent diners. You can also find lists of recommended bargain restaurants in New York

The subway is safe. If you're staying in Flushing, you'd take the Airtrain to Jamaica and get the subway. Take the Manhattan-bound E train to Jackson Heights and transfer for the Flushing-bound 7 train. Be aware that routes change late nights, so check the www.mta.info web site for updates. You can also ride the E train to Court Square and get the 7 there. You could also just take

There's nothing to be nervous about. You should have no problem getting a taxi, but the subway is cheaper, easier, much quicker, and very safe. The subway entrance for the #2 is a block away, and it'll get you to Penn Station in about 15 minutes. Just be sure to cross to the other side of Lenox Avenue for the Downtown #2. (The #3 stops there too, but doesn't always stop at 34th

It's nearly impossible to weed out the scams among all the share listings. How would you know if the ad is legitimate and the place even exists? To be sure, do not send money to anyone, and of course don't give your personal information to an internet stranger either, no matter how "nice" they sound. Be careful!
You should see if the school offers share listings. Or tak
