Where can we live w/in 30 mins of Presbyterain Hosp? - 17 years ago
My husband is looking at medical residency programs at both Columbia and Cornell. We can't live in their residency housing b/c we have pets, but they do offer some menial subsidy for rent ($200 or something equally inadequate). The kicker is that there is a policy that we must live within 30 mins commute of Presbyterian hospital. How far away from Pres Hosp can we live and maintain a 30by Lily - Ask a New Yorker :
Re: Fly or drive to NYC - 17 years ago
I would fly. Why lose time that you could spend in the city sitting in a car on the interstate? I have a set amount of vacation time so I'm greedier with it - but you may be in a different situation than me.by Lily - Ask a New Yorker :

Well, we couldn't get into Bliss 57 at a time that worked for us, so we're going to Bliss 49. Here's hoping it's great! The prices were much more reasonable than I expected them to be. Can't wait to arrive in NY!by Lily - Ask a New Yorker :

You've got a few friends coming into manhattan for two days, and you're in charge of plans for Friday and Saturday nights. 2 guys/2 girls, much closer to being the cast of Sunny in Philadelphia (make that DC instead of PA) than, say, Friends. They've been to NYC before and will visit again, so you don't have to plan any touristy crap. Where would you take them for dinner/by Lily - Ask a New Yorker :
