I just watched A Bronx Tale...FABULOUS. The narration was great at setting the mood. "On warm summer evenings you can hear the sounds of Italian men romancing their women... "HEY MARIE! GET IN THE F###ING CAR!". What a hoot! Excellent slice of life. Really gave you a feeling of the neighborhood & life back then.

Marathon Man, hands down. It gives you not only Paris & Paraguay but the Central Park Zoo, Reservoir and Waterworks, Upper East Side, pre-gentrified West Side, Columbia University, 47th St Diamond District, and pre-demolished West Side Highway. Also a cast of actors at the top of their game, especially Sir Laurence Olivier who in one scene in a jewelry shop alters his accent three times, reminiscent of Edgar's great scene on the heath in King Lear.

Hi, I'm a native to NYC (upper west side), but lives in Australia, when I finish school, plan to move back when I finish high school here in Oz.
My little brother thinks Madagascar is the best, even thought it's animated, PIXAR really know what they are on about!
My personal favourite is I Am Legend, it was a shock to see the city so.. empty
