Aircraft landing gear believed to be from 9/11 and discovered behind the site of the proposed Ground Zero Mosque has again prompted the question as to whether the site is suitable to be built over.

According to NYPD the landing gear from a passenger jet believed to have been used in the September 11th attacks was found behind the site of the controversial Ground Zero mosque by Surveyors hired by the owner.

The gear was wedged between the rear of 51Park Place, the mosque site, and the building behind it, on Murray Street. According to police, the aircraft part has a clearly visible Boeing identification number.

Police are treating the site as a crime scene. According to sources close to the investigation the landing gear will now be photographed, and the Medical Examiner will search the area for human remains.

Under these circumstances we ask do you think anything should be built at 51 Park Place?
