Which Lincoln Tunnel entrance? - 4 years ago
When entering NYC thru the Lincoln Tunnel, which entrance tunnel puts me in the best position to get onto Dyer Street? I always seem to get in the wrong lane and have to cross over or go around. Any suggestions? Thank you!by OLDFLD - Ask a New Yorker :
Vogard Hotel - 7 years ago
Can anyone tell me about the old Vogard Hotel on Fifth Avenue? What is there now? I doubt the old hotel is still standing. Was featured in old movie called Make Way For Tomorrow. Thanks!by OLDFLD - Ask a New Yorker :
Fashion Week 2014? - 10 years ago
When exactly is FASHION WEEK in NYC? Does it happen twice a year or just once? I was thinking it will happen in September 2014 but if anyone can provide more detail, that would be great! Thanks in advance.by OLDFLD - Ask a New Yorker :
Bike Rentals - Central Park - 13 years ago
Can anyone offer advice on renting a bike to ride thru Central Park. There seems to be a place called Bike Rental Central Park that appears to be a good outlet. The CP website lists rentals at the Loeb Boathouse, but we've also seen a rental spot right at Columbus Circle. (Are they the same?) Any advice is appreciated! Thanks!by OLDFLD - Ask a New Yorker :
Pick up Lunch in Central park? - 13 years ago
Is there a place near Central Park that I could order a takeout lunch for 4, pick it up and take it to the Park? Sort of like a ready-to-go picnic basket. Also, any recommendations as to a good spot in the Park to dine? Thanks is advance.by OLDFLD - Ask a New Yorker :
Carnival/Bowlmor - 14 years ago
Can anyone tell me about Carnival/Bowlmor at 110 University Place? Such as, average age - would two mid-40's feel out of place? Is there a cover charge? Expensive drinks? Good people watching? Best times to visit on a Saturday or Sunday? Does it get really crowded? Trying to get an overall feel for the place. Thanks NYC!by OLDFLD - Ask a New Yorker :
