I've never been under the impression that FAO was that -big- a store, more just that it was a very -expensive- toy store.

As a 12 year old (the last time I went to FAO) I was impressed by it. But that was in 1998. Has it changed since then? Wasn't it supposed to close or something. Anyway, I was impressed with it but sad that I wasn't allowed to get anything because it was so expensive. To simply get something with the name on it I bought a pack of pens...how sad. haha

Yes it did close and has reopened but with less (so I'm told). I thought it had some fun stuff but to find something for my grandsons was a challenge, I think it would be better for little girls.
