Lucky dab. I've got no-where near finishing Time and Again. I've signed up for an extra course in college and am now having to read Stupid White Men and some other book about the US (yes, the course is called America!). Looks like old Jacky boy is gonna have to sit on a slow burner till I come over!

I started it last night Karen. I got to the part where she just got a raise. Did not read as long into the night as I wanted. There is always tonight! I really like it so far. Thanks for the recommendation.
The Chrysler Building is on it's way to David, along with a book for you that Oracle and I both read - Gramercy Park.

I have about a third of Lucia,Lucia to read. Can't thank you enough for the recommendation. Because of the dressmaking, it reminds me a bit of a fun book that takes place in London and Paris called Mrs. 'Arris Goes To Paris. I saw and loved the movie with Angela Landsbury long before I knew it was a book. Happened upon the book at a yard sale. Below is the movie description.
Based on the novel by Paul Gallico, Mrs. 'Arris Goes To Paris tells the little tale of Ada Harris, a London charwoman in the 1950's. After seeing a Dior dress at the house she cleans at, she decides that she's going to own one. After scrimping and saving her money for three years, she takes a trip to Paris and learns that buying an original couture creation is a little harder than simply plunking down cash. Along the way she manages to befriend a count, unite young lovers, and dodge customs.
