Julio Acevedo has been indicted and the Brooklyn district attorney’s office says further charges are possible.

Acevedo is accused of speeding down a Brooklyn street and crashing into a car carrying Nachman and Raizy Glauber which resulted in their death. The couples premature son was delivered by cesarean section before he also died.

Acevedo was arrested in Bethlehem, Pa., about 80 miles from New York, after a friend brokered his surrender and after he had given an interview to the press.

Defense attorney Kathleen Julian says Acevedo feels terrible about what happened, but it was an accident. Ask a New Yorker says: Why did he speak to the media before handing himself into the police? 3 people were dead and he’s giving interviews? Of course he feels terrible but not bad enough to hand himself in as soon as he was aware of what happened.
