There’s no place like New York but rumor has it that Caroline Kennedy Schlossberg is considering taking up the duty of diplomatic service and heading off to become US Ambassador to Japan. While Tokyo is a long way from her Park Avenue apartment, the Japanese are said to be over the moon about the current chatter in Washington. While Caroline’s office has yet to confirm whether she has actually accepted the position or is even considering it, word is abuzz that she will.

Rumor’s have persisted for some time that President Kennedy’s daughter would take up a position as the US Ambassador to the Vatican but those rumors have now moved to the Far East. Given the current problems in the region with North Korea threatening to nuke the world it might be deemed the Japanese diplomatic position might be better suited to someone with a lot more experience. The move would certainly be a loss for New Yorker’s but we will just have to wait and see if these rumors become reality.
