Re: Visiting at the end of May... - 18 years ago
Back from a 2nd NYC/Manhattan trip, I can vouch for all the suggestions made for your trip. The restaurants mentioned I had them all on my schedule each night of my one week trip, so they're right on target. If you'd like to experience a French restaurant (excellent ones), I highly recommend Daniel's on 65 E 65th st, and Jean-George's in Trump Intnl Tower @ Columbus circleby eagleswingsunltd - Ask a New Yorker :

You're in luck. I've just returned from my 2nd trip to NYC, but this time a one week trip to Manhattan. Most of my trip was what you're speaking of. I stayed with a local ny'er this time to get the real feel and experience of what it's like to live in New York (Manhattan). It was on the Upper West side. I'll be glad to share through e-mail and by phoneby eagleswingsunltd - Ask a New Yorker :
Re: Digital photos - 18 years ago
Hi, Jeff here from NC. Interesting post. It appears to me that the suggestions of accessing the photo's off real estate websites would be an excellent start of what you're looking for. But I do think your approach is an excellent one also. I was recently in Manhattan for one week, and did something very similiar to what you're looking for. Re: Apartment in Question? - 18 years ago
If you're looking for an apt to stay in while in NYC, I have a suggestion you may want to consider. I recently came back from a 2nd NYC/Manhattan trip, except this time it was for one full week and I rented an apt from a local nyer. The location is 104th & Broadway, Upper West side, is located just around the corner of the 103rd subway stop (this is a full time stop). It's uby eagleswingsunltd - Ask a New Yorker :

You're correct of Ruth's Chris chain restaurant. I've eaten at the Buckhead location in Atlanta, Ga as well as near my apt in Greensboro. Both served great steaks and provided excellent service. As of now, Sunday April 2nd, I have reservations at the following. Monday- Bull & Bear Tuesday-Daniel's Wednesday- Wolfgang's (no reservation needed for the bar) Thuby eagleswingsunltd - Ask a New Yorker :

Thank you for these suggestions. I'm already aware of and have Del Frisco's, know of Sparks, but've chosen not to place reservation. Also know Smith & Wollensky. So far, reservations have been placed at Bull & Bear, Keen's, Peter Luger's, Wolfgang's. Also interested in Jean-George's (in Trump Intnl Tower-CPSouth), and Daniel's. The finest, upscale steak restaurants in Manhattan - 18 years ago
During a one week trip to Manhattan from april 10-17th, I plan on dining at some of the finest, upscale steak restaurants Manhattan has to offer, with one exception. I'm aware that Peter Luger's in Brooklyn is from what I've read online the standard by which all other steak restaurats are measured by. So far I'm seriously considering these: Wolfgang's, Bull &by eagleswingsunltd - Ask a New Yorker :
LET IT SNOW, SNOW, AND MORE SNOW - 18 years ago
I've been watching the live videocams of times square on earthcam. It's so neat watching near street level cameras of people walking about. If anyone in Manhattan can get some snow pictures of the streets, especially Central Park, and send me to me, I would really appreciate it. This is a pretty big storm, and I can't imagine how beautiful the snow would make Manhattan loby eagleswingsunltd - Ask a New Yorker :

safe neighborhoods to rent a room/apt in Manhattan - 18 years ago
I’m in need of an apt/room to rent for an upcoming one-week stay in Manhattan from Monday April 10th – Monday April 17th. I’m single, do not smoke or drink any alcoholic beverages of any kind. Being my second NYC/Manhattan trip, I want to get the real feel of the city so staying with a local should provide that. I stayed in the HoJo at Penn station on my first trip, and was very disappointed.by eagleswingsunltd - Ask a New Yorker :

Any suggestions for renting an apt from NYer in Manhattan - 18 years ago
I'm returning to NYC in April 2006 for the Auto show at the Jacob Javitz center. My first trip this past June I stayed at the Howard Johnson @ Penn station (34th st). It was a real disappointment. I'd placed messages on Frommers Guide website, and received an e-mail from a lady who'd stayed at a local's apt that was available to rent. Re: Trinity Church - 18 years ago
If you want the church across the street from ground zero, it's St. Paul's. It has tons of memorial's inside along with video footage of 9/11 events. Trinity church is a sister church, thats down below further. Both are under the same parish. I toured both churches on my June 205 first time NYC trip to attend Billy Graham's crusade in Queens.
