This thread hasn't exactly caught fire. Regardless we still think it's a cool thing to pay it forward which can come in all shapes and curves. I'm the kind of person that for the most part loves people. Regardless of how dysfunctional we are at times I keep trying to see the good in us all. I am from NJ and do not drive on Parkways in NY. I accidentally made the wrong turn and had no choice but to keep going. Cop was not nice but I took it and kept my cool. Re: Humans of New York - 9 years ago
It took less than a week for the Humans of New York photo-blogger to raise more than $1 million for underprivileged young New Yorkers living in one of the city’s toughest neighborhoods — making it the most-funded campaign ever on Indiegogo Life. More than 38,000 people chipped in donations — most between $1 and $100 — to help the students of Mott Hall Bridges Academy, a middle school in Brownsby askanewyorker - Ask a New Yorker :
What is a New Yorker? - 9 years ago
What’s a New Yorker? Well... Ask a New Yorker By Garett Robinson The other day, someone asked me what I thought a “New Yorker” was. My first response was a New Yorker is not about what was, New Yorkers are about what is often before anyone realizes it. Besides this though, the question seemed impossible to answer. That person could have asked me to count all the stars in the universby askanewyorker - Ask a New Yorker :

The Normal Heart The Normal Heart starts like any other disaster movie—situation normal until it’s very f’d up. The long-awaited film adaptation of Larry Kramer’s searing play of love and loss in the time of AIDS, made by Glee and American Horror Story creator Ryan Murphy aired on HBO and, while not perfect, it is definitely worth watching.by askanewyorker - Ask a New Yorker :

Hi, I am not a local and hence I do not have a local driver's license and an SSN. I was pulled over recently for speeding 20mph above the speed limit. The officer issued me with a New York State - Department of Motor Vehicles UNIFORM TRAFFIC TICKET. However, I am very sure the highest speed i hit was only 45mph at most, on the 35mph road. How do I go about dealing with this ticket?by askanewyorker - Ask a New Yorker :

Recently I had a conversation with the kind and generous Joan Hornig. We discussed philanthropy, one of her many passions. Ask a New Yorker is Asking New Yorkers to pay it forward by performing an act of kindness. Then Ask another New Yorker to do the same. Was traveling west-bound on Canal street (right lane), preparing to make a right-hand turn onto 6th ave (believe this is 4 lanes of traffic). Approach Canal above West Broadway, and two oversize trucks are parked in the right-hand lane, making it impossible to turn right, and completely obscuring visibility.
