Re: What are people in.....called? - 18 years ago
Walking through Greenpoint today I peeked into a very quaint Polish small, homey restaurant where a couple we're eating lunch, raved about the food(need to find out the name of the place) asked where they were from. Connecticut. So I asked them what they are called? New Englanders. They were from southern part of the state. They said they preferred to be called New Yorkers. Only in Greenpoint.by askanewyorker - Ask a New Yorker :

this was an article on this site last month, maybe this will help you: Hot Spots in NYC Years ago if you asked about HOT SPOTS in NYC, people would rattle off names of the hippest clubs they could think of , perhaps mixing in a few classic Manhattan night spots. These days, the same question would require a rather more technical answer. Enter IT Consultant Michael Ben-Yishai founder and oby askanewyorker - Ask a New Yorker :

MLT, We ate SEA last night. 1 lovely duckling and 1 Chu-che crispy salmon, Delish. The thing is by 6:30 the place will be very crowded. No reservations. Worthy bar. But if the wait is too long you have options. Kitty corner to SEA is another much smaller, quiter, Thai restaurant which is very good. On your way over to Sea walk down North 7th and enter into Planet Thai. Walk through the restauranby askanewyorker - Ask a New Yorker :

Re: Yankee Stadium - 18 years ago
it's probably best to just get them online before you go, that way you don't have to waste time getting them when you arrive. don't know what kind of seats you're after, but you could always, of course, get them right at the stadium.by askanewyorker - Ask a New Yorker :

Re: Advice On Getting Around - 18 years ago
from Laguardia, a cab is the best option. Public transportation from there isn't so great. Have the cab take you right to ground zero. In any subway station you can get a day pass for I think $7. The subway is the best way to get around. Depending on what time your baseball game is, that metrocard may come in handy if you want to go do other things. Re: Travel from Penn Station to Hotel - 18 years ago
You will practically be right on top of the hotel. Within five minutes walking. Penn Station is 34th St. You will be very close, just look at the numbered streets and go two blocks to 32nd. Very very easy.by askanewyorker - Ask a New Yorker :
