Would so love to live in USA.. any chance? - 11 years ago
I live in the UK and it would be a dream come true for me to live in USA (preferably NY!); to be clear, does the USA only accept immigrants from the UK who a) Are moved there through their work, b) Marry a US citizen or c) Have a ton of cash, therefore can support themselves in the US? My question would therefore be; how do a lot of people from eg India, Pakistan and the like move there and geby tabithanyc - Ask a New Yorker :
NYC Bus - silly question! - 11 years ago
Hi there, I have a (silly, I know!) question about using the bus in NYC. When, exactly, do you have to press the bell to stop the bus when getting off?! LOL I've only used the bus once, to go to the Bronx zoo, and on the way back, people seemed to press the bell ages before the driver actually stopped the bus. Just wondered what the protocol was. Thanks. Leigh.by tabithanyc - Ask a New Yorker :
Re: Hamptons visit? - 11 years ago
Thanks for the reply (Happy 4th July, by the way!) At the risk of sounding like a complete wimp... I really don't think I'd be able to drive over there! - maybe *in* the Hamptons I could; but outta JFK?! OMG lol!by tabithanyc - Ask a New Yorker :
Hamptons visit? - 11 years ago
Hi, We visit NY each year (Manhattan) and thought maybe next time we would try a couple of days in the Hamptons, just to experience a different part of NY. I would appreciate any advice/recommendations on which area/which Inn to stay and also, getting there: Jitney from Manhattan? or LIRR? (from either Manhattan or JFK, is we decide to go there straight after arriving) any help welcomed! thank yoby tabithanyc - Ask a New Yorker :
