Hi there, I have a (silly, I know!) question about using the bus in NYC. When, exactly, do you have to press the bell to stop the bus when getting off?! LOL I've only used the bus once, to go to the Bronx zoo, and on the way back, people seemed to press the bell ages before the driver actually stopped the bus. Just wondered what the protocol was. Thanks.

Ring it just after the doors close on the stop just before yours, or as you see your stop coming up ahead. If you aren't sure or can't see the street signs, ask the driver or anyone on the bus to let you know when you get to your stop.
