Brooklyn Bridge - Is it still worth a trip for some photographs? October 05, 2012 05:32AM |

Hi guys,
I will be traveling to NYC and hope to get some shots of the Brooklyn Bridge.
But I've just read that there are painting works and construction going on there.
May I know how "bad" the situation is now? Is there any possible angle where I can avoid photographing the scaffolding, protection sheets, etc?
Is it the bridge closed to pesdestrians?
It's really a pity as I was so looking forward to this trip!
Thanks for any advice.

Andrew Im on ther Bridge everyday, a photographer. Yes the Bridge is under a face lift and yes it's rather unattractive especially as you enter the Bridge from Manhattan. The corrogated scafolding is gross. With that said there still PLENTY of amazing shots to be had. Pick your angles and you'll soar. Best time early morning before the crowds.
