Could anyone tell me if you can hire/experience a Segway in New York? Particularly in Central Park?

I'm in the park and on the streets walking everyday and rarely do I see them. It's interesting that the Segway has yet to break into the market. Beside the occassional police usage I've yet to see tourist managing the streets. It's seems like an ideal small biz opportunity.

yikes, using a segway on the sidewalks in manhattan! Seems dangerous and would be difficult with the crowds. you'd probably be annoyed with it quickly (as would everyone else around you, sorry).
I've just been googling about this topic and read that actually they're illegal in new york city.
