We'll want to go bowling and the cinema some time during our visit.

I'm been searching around for bowling alleys and found Brooklyn Bowl which looks fantastic with the live bands but under 21s aren't allowed in. Can you recommend anywhere that would suit a full age range 10 to 50?

Also, a cinema with a WOW factor. Maybe a retro movie theatre or max type state of the art kind of thing which we won't have seen before?

Thanking you, in advance.

Brooklyn Bowl is fab - call them re: ages as they are flexible depending on time of day. There is also a bowling alley on Westside highway at 42nd and one in Harlem that could be an adventure.

Imax: AMC Loews Lincoln Square 13 & IMAX
1998 Broadway New York, NY 10023 888 262 4386
Great location

retro/cool cinema: Ziegfeld on 54th

Also Ice skating in Central Park and return trip on the Staten Island ferry for $2.25.... passes Stature of Liberty. Buy Time Out NY as soon as you arrive and check out their critic picks..

have a great time

Thanks Annie,

Can I ask a few questions - no offence intended it's just that we haven't been to NYC before :

1. Is it safe for a bunch of Brits to go to Harlem & Brooklyn at night?
2. Can we go by subway safely or best by taxi?

Many thanks
Lori
