Why? I happen to like the folks at my neighborhood wine shop, and they'll be put out of business. Besides, there's NO ROOM in our local supermarkets to devote space to wine. It will mean removing at least an aisle's worth of products.

Yeah, this isn't California, don't cha know. Mom and Pop shops need to stay open. Besides, it gives you a little more reason to walk down an extra block to hit up the liquor store. Gotta get in shape for swimsuit season.

I used to buy wine in a store in New York that sold groceries as well as preprepared hot and cold food.
