does someone know something about the st. john college in Manhattan?
is it good?
it seems to be affordable by almost everyone so I wonder if it's a recognized college or it's not.

The main campus of St. John's is in Queens. They have a building in Manhattan, but the offerings there are pretty limited.

As far as its academic status, I'd describe it as a good mid-tier school. Frankly, they're known more for their basketball team than anything else, and their basketball team hasn't been consistently good for a while now.

Do you know if the area that the St. John's University school in Queens is in is a good neighborhood. Better yet would you let your 18 year old daughter go to that school and live on campus?

St. John's University is in a fine, very safe neighborhood. I grew up there.
