Hi, another question about travel. Have purchased tickets for Rhinecliff station via net. Train leaves Penn at 8:15 am., on a Mon. Am staying Lexington/61st st. Would cab or subway be faster? What time do you suggest leave to get to station? Am not familiar with Penn station, have read somewhere to enter at 8th/31st st.?

Also am leaving next morning for Grand Central to catch 8:24 train to Bronxville, will purchase tckts there. have same time concerns. Thanks in advance for any and all advice.

Can't help with travel time. It's rush hour.

I'd personally take subway for trek to Penn Station.

For Grand Central, it's only 2 stops from nearest top nearest you hotel using 4,5,6 lines. For me, I like to walk just to get exercise.

The best entrance to get to main Amtrak waiting area is to enter at 33rd Street and 8th Avenue.
