Coming to NY to shop for daughter's first holy communion gown. Where would a good Irish girl go to shop for something not too over the top.

Burlington Coat Factory (Burlington is around 20th & 6th). Or Macy's. Hopefully they'll have something tasteful and not tacky like I've seen too often on little girls. There's also Kleinfelds [www.kleinfeldbridal.com]. It's a bridal place but they may have Communion dresses there. If they do, guaranteed they will be over the top.

Any where Latin! So like Jackson Heights maybe? We are all about the BIG WHITE FLUFFY dresses. They are also a lot less expensive at the small Latin shops. I am not in NY, but that would be where I would go. Any main street in a Latin district should have at least 3 shops to choose from
