Does anyone know if there is a laundromat in Tribeca or within walkable distance from Tribeca (relatively close in Soho or Chinatown)? I've seen a few dry cleaners/wash and fold places, but nothing with self service.

It's getting more difficult to find self service laundries, they just don't have the space. The nearest one to me is too far to shlep my laundry. While the service laundries are a bit more expensive -- but not much -- the one I use does a better job than I do, and I've gotten used to getting everything back folded to the same size, whether it's a duvet cover or a wash cloth.

You should ask your neighbors, because the nearest laundry might not be the best. There are three on my block (!), yet the one just around the corner does a better job.
