I am asking about the name "Flower" or "Flowers".
Is this surname associated with a governor or political governing figure in the early days of the colony, or the newly formed state?
I am not a historian. I would like to find a reference to this name on the Internet, if possible. Or, a book citation documenting the name and its association and approximate historical date, with a governing political position in the early history of New York (colony or state??).
I believe this man (Flowers) had two daughters among his children.
Thank you very much.
