We are planning to visit New York over the November 11th Veterans Day Holiday. What usually happens that day ? Is there a parade ? Down which street ? Is there anything planned at the World Trade Centre site that day? Will stores be open later that day ?

I know that shops will be open all day.

And I am sure that there is a Veterans Day parade... somewhere. Googling it only turned blog entries about past parades. The Veterans Day parade, wherever, whatever it is, is not a huge deal like the Thanksgiving parade is.
