Where should I go if I want to find some very good vintage designer-
clothing shops?

Housing Works thrift shops. A few locations around the city.

There's a vintage clothing shop on W25th between 6th and 7th.

GABAYs, at 225 First Ave. on First Ave near 13th Street on the west side of First Ave, sells used designer stuff. Chanel shoes, Gucci Bags, all sorts of high-end used clothes.

I looooove vintage designer stuff... there are plenty of place on 23rd between 6th and 8th or so. Also Screaming MiMi's is THE BEST!!! it's on 328 Lafayette. I def suggest you try there. Also Alice Underground and Andee's Cheapees (its not really that cheap) is in that area.

I saw one last night on St. Marks Place in the east village, can't remember the name but it was between 1st Ave and Ave A, on your right as you walk towards Ave A, closer to 1st Ave, address had to be around 96 or 94 St Marks Place...it was a good one. I came right on to tell you about it this morning! smiling smiley
