New York, NY:  Diva vocalist Kimberly Davis keeps the D1 Music mantra of infusing dance floors with electrifying music alive with her new club smash, “Twist of Love”.  The song, featuring club remixes by Paul Goodyear, Rob Mirage, Oxford Hustlers, John Rizzo and D1 Music, is Ms. Davis’ second release with D1 Music, an independent label that specializes in the dance music genre.  “Twist of Love” releases to i-Tunes and all download sites on Tuesday, November 2.

“’Twist of Love” is a celebratory track about that crazy little thing called love,” said Ms. Davis from her recording studio in Manhattan.  “It’s a full blooded diva anthem that I hope will redefine the ‘twist’ track for the twenty-first century.”

Similar to ‘twist’ records made famous by Chubby Checker, Davis’ “Twist of Love” encourages listeners to Kimberly Davis has always been one to keep moving.  In her musical career, she’s performed for audiences throughout the world: from Argentina to Ireland, Scotland to Spain, even Russia.

After completing Manhattan’s fabled High School of Performing Arts, the school that inspired the movie Fame, Davis became a back-up singer for popular 90’s house group, Lisa Lisa & Cult Jam.  After the group broke up, she went on to sing behind artists like Mary J. Blige, Alicia Keys, Rob Thomas, Deborah Cox, and Mary Wilson.

Today, Ms. Davis is thrilled to have the chance to step up to center stage and claim the mic as her own.  In addition to releasing her second solo single and preparing her first solo album (due out next summer), she is the lead singer for Nile Rodgers’ classic disco group Chic.

“We perform all the classic Nile Rodgers’ songs including “Everybody Dance,” “Le Freak,” “Good Times”, “I’m Coming Out”, “We Are Family” and even Madonna’s “Like A Virgin”  which Nile wrote,” explains Davis.

Kimberly Davis’ “Twist of Love” joins a bevy of hits that have been released from D1 Music.   The label released Lisa Hunt’s Top 5 Billboard hit “This Joint Is Jumpin”, featured on the popular Showtime TV show, Queer As Folk.   Recently, D1 Music spent fourteen weeks on the Billboard chart with Taborah’s classic 2010 summer hit “Say I Love You”, as well as, all three D1 Music “Club Christmas” albums hit the iTunes Top 50 Albums chart last year – at the same time.  “Club Christmas – Greatest Hits” releases this holiday season.

Best wishes always all ways,
