If you are talking about buying in Park Slope and need room for 3 kids and 2 adults I'm afraid you are talking over 1 million in purchase price. I have two friends who recently sold their places in Park Slope - a 1 bedroom for $640,000 and a 2 bedroom, 1 bath for $750,000. Rentals would be in the neighborhood of $3000 and up for that much room. Bay Ridge would be less expensive and more oby livetotravel - Ask a New Yorker :
