"I was born under a wandring star....." I love that song! How about "Fiddler on the Roof" or "Babes in Toyland"!!! Or the one where Tommy Steele was a reject toy and had to work his way up from the basement to save the day....can't remember what that one was called....maybe someone else?by Lisa - Ask a New Yorker :

Wow, that must have been incredably tiring. Is the house/apartment ready for you to move into? You must be very proud of your daughter, I wish her the very best of luck in her studies. What do the others do?by Lisa - Ask a New Yorker :
Re: shopping - 20 years ago
The site mentioned several that sold estate jewelry, which is always worth looking at. I always check out the second hand bit of jewelers as they often have beautiful pieces that are very reasonably priced. I love a bargain! And if you can get real, why spend a fortune on fake?by Lisa - Ask a New Yorker :

Hi Mary-Beth, I'm visiting in February as well and have signed up for e-mail updates for sample sales. There are loads of different ones and if you're lucky there might be jewelry and shoe ones on while you are in town. You can get these here: and also go to Century 21. It's in the Financial district, near to Ground Zero. Another place you could visit is 47th Street. Hopeby Lisa - Ask a New Yorker :

I agree, sorry Uncle Tony. I looked up Steve on a site I know and these are the ones it came up with, I was impressed as well! I can understand where you're coming from. Loads of people called me Moaner (as in Mona Lisa.......before things get side tracked again). Thankfully I knocked that one on the head when I moved. I love the Sound of Music, some of the songs are extremely naff, but iby Lisa - Ask a New Yorker :

My husband is a Nick (Nicolaas), my son is Nicky (Nicolaas) and my father in law is Nick as well! That seems to be quite popular over here. In the late 80's there were loads of Kylie's and Jason's born (wonder why!) I called my daughter Natascha Anna Robin, as I loved the name Tascha (from Star Trek - Tascha Yarr) hubby didn't, so we settled on Natascha. Oh, I'm Lisa Aby Lisa - Ask a New Yorker :

Lighter streaks are flattering and lighten up your face! I seem to be heading more towards red for some reason. I just let my hairdresser carry on, as long as it doesn't get too weird!by Lisa - Ask a New Yorker :
