Hey Oracle. Miss you too, hopefully we'll be over in a few months. Deak, you'd need to allow for a bit more time as it will probably be heaving. One of the others will be of more use as I have no sense of time! I think 90 mins would be cutting it fine. I went on the Roosevelt tram as I'm a complete geek. It was in the first Spiderman film, the Green Goblin attacks it so if yoby Cozz - Ask a New Yorker :

Hiya Salsa! I know, good to see you too Glad to hear the kids have chosen the MoMA then, and visiting the design store opposite is a must as they have lovely stuff there. GCS has warm and cold food. May I personally recommend the steak and cheese sandwich, mentioned in another post? It was fab! They also did bagels with scrambled eggs etc and as there are several establishments to choose froby Cozz - Ask a New Yorker :

Re: Breakfast ! - 12 years ago
Neil, you have to go to Norma's. This is not open for discussion. You have to go. The food is sublime. The coffee is out of this world and don't get me started on their fresh orange juice, smoothies or homemade peach jam. But you will need to book. Really, I can't emphasise this enough!!! Another option my fiancé has offered is to have a steak and egg sandwich at Grand Central Statby Cozz - Ask a New Yorker :

Morning Salsa! Personally, I'd move there if I could. If any NYer out there knows of a job going for a damn good English teacher (that's me), let me know!by Cozz - Ask a New Yorker :

Not wanting to state the obvious, but the person who originally started this thread hasn't replied..... ever. And now poor Michelle is being put off going to the best city in the world! Michelle, go to New York. The people are no ruder than the people where you come from. I have always found them to be polite, kind, helpful and welcoming.by Cozz - Ask a New Yorker :

Bum, forgot to do the maths problem when I posted earlier. Right, I have to apologise for my short and curt response but I have a lesson starting in 10 mins. What type of students are they? Art, drama? If they aren't art students, why are you going to the MoMa and not the Met? MoMa is great for art students, especially in the short amount of time you are visiting NY, but if they arenby Cozz - Ask a New Yorker :

Merry Christmas everyone! Hoping to come over either during the Summer holidays or failing that, the Autumn break. Hope you all have a fabulous Christmas and a safe and happy 2007. Big hug from Holland. xxxxby Cozz - Ask a New Yorker :

Just got this in from the Best Bets news letter and immediately thought of your friend: Diane von Furstenberg's chic maternitywear is up to 80 percent off; woven tops are now $65. When: 5/4 (11am-7pm); 5/5 (9am-8pm); 5/6 (9am-11am). Where: 389 W. 12th St., near Washington St., Ste. 1000, 646-486-4800.by Cozz - Ask a New Yorker :

Re: good hotel - 19 years ago
Hotel 41 is lovely. Small so the staff know who you are. Rooms are teeny but immaculate with nice bathrooms and breakfast is included in the price. Do a search on the site or on TripAdvisor as I reviewed it February 2004. Enjoy your trip!by Cozz - Ask a New Yorker :

Same here, it would be like getting a relative stuffed. I know several people who would want to stuff their in-laws but I don't think it includes them sitting in a chair opposite you or even worse, their skins made into a cushion!by Cozz - Ask a New Yorker :

Re: Restaurants in New York City..... - 19 years ago
For the non-show night I would recommend River Cafe. The view alone is worth the price. It is truly a place you have to visit at least once! Maybe a visit to Carmines in the Theater district will be the ticket before the show. The food is fabulous and a good place to go to with people. Lunch, I'd go for the Carnegie Deli. It's so well known, it has to be witnessed. Don't go for aby Cozz - Ask a New Yorker :

I hope everyone will Sara. I am certainly going to make one here in Holland. I would not like to end up like that poor lady and I certainly wouldn't like to go through what her husband and family are going through. I cannot imagine anyone wanting to continue in the state she has been for the past 15 years. It's a story that has two definate camps and I know which one I am in. I heard that as well, something to do with the displacement of land. Thank goodness it isn't as bad as the Boxing Day quake. 250,000 people is an unfathomable amount to lose in one day. I can't even imagine how the countries involved get on after something like that.by Cozz - Ask a New Yorker :

Thats a brilliant idea. Good forward thinking on the principals part! Jobs like that are often left till last as they aren't seen to be important and they are extremely time consuming. What else have you volunteerd for Salsa?by Cozz - Ask a New Yorker :
