How much does it cost to rent an apartment in Manhattan

I love New York City, i mean I've loved New York since the day i looked at a photograph and i am planing to move there at some point of my life.So i am asking is living in New York expensive or not,and how much does it cost to have an apartment in Manhattan? It really depends on where in manhattan you live, how big/nice you want your apartment to be, if you want to have room-mates, etc. But, you can easily plan on at LEAST $1000/month for an apartment for one person and probably a good deal more. I'm not so sure about that $1,000. A friend looked and looked for quite a while, finally moving into a fifth-floor walk-up apt. for $1,400 a month. It's one of the tiniest places I've seen, just enough room for a bed, a small dresser and a table that doubles as a desk.
Nikola, many young people live in Brooklyn and Queens, two of the five boroughs (or counties) that make up New York. Depending on what your budget is, you could find a shared apt. for under $1,000 each. The bigger obstacle is that you cannot work here if you come on a tourist visa. Well i wanna live there,not just visit.And i was just asking is it nice there,how much money does an apartment cost and stuff like that but anyway thanks,1400 at least. |
