Can anyone recommend a steak restaurant with reasonable prices.
Thanks

Steak restaurants are not reasonable. The least expensive is probably Landmarc, in the Time Warner Bldg. at Columbus Circle. Quite good steak too.

You can read reviews and see sample menus (some with outdated prices) on menupages.com.

right, steak restaurants are a little on the pricey side.
I like Keen's on 36th St. It's reasonable, for a steak house.

Wolfgangs on the corner of Park Ave and E33rd is excellent.

Peter Luger in Brooklyn if you like $$$$ but great steaks (no credit cards except theirs).

Wolfgangs is better than Peter Luger. Peer Luger was great but Wolfgangs was better and easier to get to.

if anyone is looking for a "steakhouse" that does not have the usual steakhouse-atmosphere and feel, try Dylan Prime in Tribeca on Laight St. I went there last night and the food was v. good (beef wellington!).

On my list. I hear the Porterhouse is off the charts.

Strip House is great if you like your steak "charred" on the outside.

I live a block from Strip House, but as a lifelong Luger's fan, the charring is not my taste. However, others love it and they are always packed.

On the less expensive side, they offer a great bar special, a small steak and fries (or something similar) for very reasonable prices.

My 2 cents is stay away from Smith and Wollensky. Unlike Luger's, not worth the price.

For a true NY steak experience, Luger's is the only place to go, which is why it's #1 in Zagat's for almost 30 years running.
