What do New Yorkers call the devices that takes food from the store to the car? Grocery cart, shopping cart, buggy?
How about the large upholstered furniture in your living room? sofa, couch, davenport?
-from Omaha, where we haven't seen cows in years, but we can still smell them when the wind is right
Oracle?

That's a trick question. We don't have cars. We schlep our groceries home.

(In the 'burbs though, it's a shopping cart. And that thing in the living room is a couch.)

I don't take anything to a car. But I drive my groceries home in a granny cart. This may be a minority word choice though.

Sofa and couch are interchangeable. Davenport is the last name of an actor in "Pirates of the Caribbean."
