That was fun! I was surprised that it actually has "Toilet" posted outside as I've never seen that sign in the US before, it's always restroom or bathroom. And even more unusual ( for me at least) was seeing the sink with the auto soap/water/dryer. In my small home city we've had some of those for years and we're NEVER first with anything

Best Public Restrooms In America: Bryant Park Public Toilets

Bryant Park Restroom

This stand alone structure sits just behind the iconic New York City Public Library in Bryant Park -- a park that used to be the kind of place most New Yorkers wouldn't go near after dark.

Today, the park is well kept as is the restroom. Two attendants stand at the entrance where fresh flowers greet you just before you turn into either the men's or women's bathrooms.

The women's room tend to be a touch cleaner than the men's but this should be no surprise to most people who have a habit of using public bathrooms.

Public restrooms are few and far between. Hotels and restraunts are our public restooms My favorite is on th 18th floor of The Standard.If your on The Highline head into The Standard behind the frontdesk to the left is the elevator. Once you arrive to 18th floor there may be a snooty doorman to the restaruant. I'd love for you to check out the restauant.It's an art deco design,sleek,elegant with excellent views of the Hudson. Sometimes snooty guy will deny access depending on what your wearing. Tell him your a guest in the hotel.

Good tip, KM. I'll have to give the Standard a try. I usually go to the Gansevoort or Spice Market.
