Hi,
Your post was in 2008, but I thought I would try responding anyway. I have a "Sailing Ship",Model #811, United Clock Corp.,belonged to my parents. The clock set on our Mantel as long as I can remember. My parents were married in 1945. I'm hoping to find more info about the clock as well. The clock is in tact with the exception of a missing cover and rim that fits over one of the lights on deck;and a small port hole rim in the back. If you'd like a picture, I'd be glad to email or send you one.
Hope this helps.

I too have been trying to find out more about these clocks, and here is what I've discovered so far. They were made around the early to mid 1900's. Originally called United Clock Company, they changed their name to Sessions. Based in Brooklyn, NY, these clocks were given as wedding and anniversary gifts, mostly. My parents received one for theirs, and my mom remembers one on her grandmother's mantle. Anyway, I now have model 811, handed down to me by my dad, who passed away recently. This one sat on my parent's tv most of my childhood. It still works great, and with two small pieces to replace, I'll continue the tradition of it sitting in my living room. Love the memories! Hope this helps...
