transportation between ISP andJFK

Posted by Melanie
I am flying into Long Island Macarthur airport and then departing from JFK on an international flight. What is the easiest and/or cheapest way to get from ISP to JFK?
Cheapest: Taxi to LIRR at Ronkonkoma; train to Jamaica; AirTrain to JFK
Total price: $5 + $6.50 + $5 = $16.50

Easiest: Taxi from ISP to JFK
Price: $75
About how long does it take to do the taxi/LIRR/Air Train combo to get from ISP to JFK?

Thanks
Approx. two hours.
Hi,

I am arriving at JFK and departing from ISP(McArther) airport.
1) What is the cheapest way to reach ISP from JFK?
2) How long does it take?
3) Are there any inter-airport shuttles(private or public), without have to make a transfer?

reverse of Taxi to LIRR at Ronkonkoma; train to Jamaica; AirTrain to JFK =
AirTrain from JFK to Jamaica station; LIRR from Jamaica to Ronkonkoma; taxi or shuttle from Ronkonkoma to ISP.

New York question

We are flying back into JFK on Thursday noon and leaving out of McArthur ISP on Friday noon.

We would like to see something of New York City (Time Square at night or a play).

Should we stay in the city that night and then take a shuttle out to McAurthur the

next day or is it smarter to stay closer to McArthur ISP that night and not chance

the traffic the next day?

Hi,

i am travelling from JFK to ISP. I read about cheap options above; however, I have 4 huge luggages that I need to haul from JFK to ISP. What would be the best way to minimize transfer hassels etc. Does cab still cost about $75?

thanks,
