Listen when your arrival date gets closer come back to Ask and I'll set you up. The action will take place in Mauntauk, Ditch plains. Have several friends that give surf lessons. You'll absolutely love the beach. Gorgous. About 3 1/2 hours outside city at the end of Long Island. You can either rent a car or take a bus or train. I reccommend renting a car.

There's a great surf store Times Square called Quicksilver!
When you think of surfing (real surfing) you probably don't think of NYC. Wrong! There are a lot of people that surf the beaches around the city. Top right you see Quiksilver on 42nd Street in Times Square. Anyone that knows anything about hangin' 10 knows Quiksilver.

The sun had barely risen over Rockaway Beach, melting what was left of the overnight snow, when Noah Ward and Manny Huth waded into the Atlantic. The bitter December wind was dragging the temperature into the teens and blowing through their wetsuits. There were small sheets of ice forming on the rocks.
