Hello,

Can someone tell me how to get from Port Authority to Hempstead?
Is there a greyhound bus I can use? Would I have to purchase a ticket at Port Authority? I really want to avoid taking a cab and or trains...

You live in Canada where there are trains (i.e. subway, streetcars, commuter) in the major cities.
The only way to get from the PABT to Hempstead is to go to Penn Station and take the Long Island Rail Road commuter train to Hempstead. What are you afraid of? The LIRR is NOT THE SUBWAY.

find the correct charter bus from the port authority and take it to hempstead. Don't know how often they run, but they do a few times a day. You might have a wait on ur hands but it goes to the hempstead greyhound station AND THE Hempstead train and bus stations. The train and bus station are both across the street from the greyhound station.
