Kelly, a wakeboard is a board used like water sking. It is amazing all the tricks that are done on it. Like snowboarding on water I guess.

It is very popular in Australia, my daughter's boyfriend has taken this week off work to go wakeboarding.

There are no good stores for buying wakeboards in Mahattan.

The following stores do not have it:
REI
Paragon (can order)
Quicksilver (none of of them)
Blades
Burton store Soho
West Marine (can order)

So to get one, you need to New Jersey or Long Island
(Search for water skies and call the shop to check before you go)
West Marine NJ stocks them
Sports Authority, 31 Mill Creek Dr, close to Union City
Walmart might have some low end boards

But the best and easiest way is to go online.
