Hi,

I'm student at NYU Poly. I'm planning to rent an apartment near 150th Street and Broadway. I'm guessing that area is called Washington Heights. The nearest subway station is 5 streets down. I need to know if the area is safe to be walking alone at night. I go out sometimes and come home late. Since it is Broadway I expect it to be well lit and not totally devoid of people at night but as I am new to this town I'd like an opinion from a local.
