If I'm receiving a Federal pension, Do I have to pay taxes to New York State on the pension I'm receiving.

Better check that again. If that was true, I would have returned to NY City after 21 years of service (Viet-Nam to Gulf I).

My Federal Pension is subject to income tax based on what is reported on the IRS form 1099R
