Hi Q's re subway
1. Are there any mta workers on Ask a NewYorker?

2. Does the Subway still have Conductors and are they friendly if approached politely?

3. How would I meet a subway driver (train operator or whatever they are called)?
(I have asked the "hystericals" [as we call train buffs here on subway.com] but got no answer!)

WHY AM I ASKING? - These days I am a CityRail Electric Driver for Sydney's metro rail system and would like to talk with one whilst visiting NYC...and if any have a room to let and work midday & PM shifts then would consider renting it!
