Planning trip from California to New York with Southwest Airlines. They apparently fly into Islip Airport. I cant find any directions on how to get from there to NYU to visit a friend. Approximately how long would it take and how much would public transporation cost.
You take a $5 van shuttle to the Ronkonkoma railway station, where trains leave once an hour for Penn Station in NYC. The trip takes about 90 minutes by train, so maybe 2 hours total. Schedules at www.lirr.org.
