As a new visitor to your city, can you please let me know how safe it is for two women to stay at 242 W 123rd St - the harlem flophouse? Could we walk safely/be out at night getting to and from here? (And do you know anything about this spot?) Thanks so much for your advice; this is a great site!

I had never heard of it, but after reading all the good reviews on Tripadvisor, I want to stay there!

We wonder about the neighborhood/area though.

I would suggest to stay somewhere central-midtown, gramercy. Will save you time & everything walkable . I'm not too sure about the Harlem area so be careful!
