We will be arriving from Holland in New York next saterday and were wondering if you guys have advice on what to do on the 4th of july?? What are fun things to do and where is the best place to watch the fireworks??

I hope you have a great time in New York City! Is this your first trip to the States?

I think an excellent place to watch the fireworks would be Battery Park on the southern tip of Manhattan, although I've never done that myself. I'd bet there are some cool places in Brooklyn too. Ask Red though, he is the NYC-master.

They usually do a show over the East River, but man, is it packed.
