I've recently moved to New York, I need to get new contact lenses and don't have medical insurance. Could anyone recommend a good doctor/ establishment to go to where I won't be robbed blind?

go to any pearl vision or a place like that for the exam, but order your lenses from 1800 contacts (they have a website). I just ordered some for my husband, and they are a little cheaper than buying them from a normal optician, and there was also a $40 rebate.

Kelly is right. There is no obligation to buy your contacts or glasses at any optical place even though they may try to push you to do so. So go for the 1800contacts.
