Good place to live?

I just relocated to NYC, and absolutely fraustrated with apartment hunting. I've came upon a couple places in Harlem (specifically 125 and Lenox) and (135th and 5th) What are your thoughts on the neighborhood?

I work in the banking industry, 23, female, Asian. I get off work at 8pm at the very latest, don't go out that much, but still like to feel safe going home after midnight if I have to. I don't have too much time to search, and hotel bill's racking up...so please help.

Trace,
My girlfriend and I just found an amazing apartment on West 111th. I don't know what your price-range is, ours was $2300, but we got 1000sq ft. Yes, you read that right. We got 1000 SQUARE FEET for only $2300. The area doesn't look very hip (yet), but it feels safe, we're one block from the park, and there are other professionals in our building. And oh yeah, did I mention no fee?
