Voodoo Spirit Writing- sound familiar anyone????
This trick showcases David Blaines acting skills more than his ability of mind power. Usually this trick is carried out with a large crowd watching. Blaine takes a note pad and a pencil and writes or draws something then hides it not showing anyone what he has written. Then he asks an audience member to think of a number or a shape, claiming that he already knows what he/ she will think of and it is already written on his piece of paper. Then when he/she has written it she shows it to the crowd and him then he shows her his piece of paper with exactly the same number or shape on his/ her paper.

This is so simple it doesn’t even hold its appeal anymore once you know how its done. For the preparation you need to super glue a small piece of pencil lead on to your thumb. Then when you are about to write something on your piece of paper just fake it and keep it blank. Once the audience member has divulged what they have written, with the help of misdirection you write it on your piece of paper with the piece of lead glued to your thumb. And then amaze the audience with your amazing powers of mentalism.

Voodoo Spirit Writing Mind Reading Trick- anyone notice raymond having a small easel with his pad on it???? who writes that way???? of course it would be more comfortable for him to have the pad flat down on his desk and write but OF COURSE he has a small easel with the paper facing him so we can not see it....and why is it he only reveals his answer after you have answered his question ??? food for thought...PS to explain his predictions coming true check out "The Power of Your Subconscious Mind" by Dr.Murphy- it explains how messages placed in your subconscious are acted out exactly as described when the power of suggestion is planted with in us.

An entertaining routine where the audience are impressed with your mind reading skills

Effect : The magician is seen to write something down on a paper note pad and does not allow the spectator to see what he has written. The magician announces that he is about to ask the spectator a question and because he can read his mind, already knows the answer that the spectator will reply back with. The spectator is then asked to think of a number between one and a hundred or a simple shape such as a triangle, square or rectangle and reveal this out loud. The note pad is then shown to find that the magician had written the same number or shape down on the note pad!

1) Place tape on thumb 2) Place pencil lead on tape. 3) Hold notepad away from spectator.

Method : Make a gimmick by taping a small piece of broken pencil lead to your thumb, ( Use clear adhesive tape such as Sellotape so that the spectator and audience will not see it and remember to keep the sticky side facing out ). Initially write nothing on the note pad, ( only appear to be writing something ) and when you hide the face of the note pad from the spectator, do so with your thumb facing the side of the paper that you had supposedly written something on ( See picture 3). When your victim says the number or shape that they have thought of, simply write it on the note pad with your thumb and then show it to them as your prediction.

This trick is really convincing but depends a great deal on the magicians performance. Try your hand at acting, look as if you are really concentrating and that the trick requires real mental effort on your part. This will reinforce the illusion that you really can read minds.

I met with R 30 years ago. About the time he adopted his ow children.I was in love with someone who lived in Texas. Surprisingly R told me I would marry and have children with my first true lov. At the time tthat was impossible because he was speaking about someone Ihad broken up with 5 years prior to my reading. In short, it came true. I married and had the 2 boys R described to me. He also told me about my sisters and my mother. He describd there lives to me and in the last twenty years it all became true. I search this site because I am deciding if I should see R again. Of all his predictions there is one left to maybe come true and it scares the hell out of me. He said I would be married twice. I remember joking with him at the time and saying " I hope to the same man" I remember he never responded. Now I am having nightmares of losing my husband - R predicted some very drastic changes in my later years - all came true so far. there is so much more to this story - part of me wishes I never saw him so many years ago.

I just saw him couple of days ago. I was very excited to go to him since I have never done anything likes this. I brought some pics of family and friends along. He was rushing me, and asking all the questions to me instead of other way around. He was way off on my sister and some of my friends. When my sister went to him couple of months ago and now when I showed him her pic, he contradicted himself. After sitting for 20 minutes and paying $90 I felt that it was a waste. Even on his business card it says "for entertainment purposes only", so if you just want do go to him for fun then you should but not for psychic reading.

My reading with Raymond Pero... He's a very entertaining, quirky man to say the least. I'm a little mixed on the reading. He did ask alot of questions. He did go off and speak of his family at times and scribbles on a note pad. After he asks you a question he'll show you what he wrote down. As a previously poster stated, not sure if he scribbles while your a speaking or not.

He was pretty accurate with my personality and the personality of the people in the pictures. He knew I worked in Media (and had that written down). He told me that they liked me at my job. That I am in a good place. But I would leave if the right opp presented itself. (all accurate). He told me that it will, at the end of next year. And it would be in the same field. and even threw out Fox News or HBO.

He's said okay who are the 2 guys. Who are you dating? Well I'm not really dating at the time as I recently took a break from a guy I was seeing. He asked him name. I said Rob. (He had Robert written down). Told me that he wasn't the guy I was going to marry. That he wasn't bright enough. He knew that the sex was amazing. But said that the most selfish people are the best lays. lol.
Couldn't really pinpoint who the other guy that he was referring too & he didn't provide a name. I did show him photo's of some other men in my life, he was right on about our/their situation.

Told me that I would definitely get married to man i have not met yet, named Michael or Matthew. He is going to have dark hair, dark eyes, white collar worker and I would meet him sometime next year. Possibly someone work related.
I will also have 2 girls.

Told me to ask my father about South Carolina? possibly vaca home. no connection to that at this time.

Told me that my brother and his wife marriage will last.

Told me that my niece is extremely creative. i confirmed that she is interested in theater/acting. and he said tell her to go for it! she has what it takes smiling smiley

Not suppose to go back until after I get engaged. Well see smiling smiley

He also told me during my reading tbat I would meet a dark-haired, dark-eyed man who was a white-collared businessman. His name would be John or James, but a J name. He said he wasn't allowed to tell me when I'd meet him, but told me to come back in 3 years and show him a picture of this man.

I hope the dark-haired, dark-eyed man isn't a canned answer he gives out. If so, how disappointing because the rest of my reading was quite good.

Can anyone chime in?

Do not speak when you go to him, or he will get mad at you. With that being said, I really liked him. I thought he was flamboyant and funny. If you take life too seriously, are super duper sensitive and you don’t have a sense of humor, you won’t like his personality and you won’t be able to overlook his bluntness and you won’t end up with a good reading. You have to have an open mind.

Also, if your appointment is at 7pm...be prepared to wait until at least 8:30/9:00pm. It’s also very smoky in there while you wait and have your reading, because he smokes very heavily.

Anyway, I liked him...a lot. I thought he nailed a lot on the head, which kinda freaked me out. Yes, you will question if he’s doing a card trick or some something, though he did get a few things, not wrong, but not 100%. He wrote down that my mom’s name was Janice, but it’s Janet. He knew my dad was James, knew my mom had 4 kids.

My major issue was finding a new apartment, because of the noisy tenants above me...and of course the love of my life...but the apartment was #1...cause I was desperate to move. I had been looking for 6 months and had seen so many different ones. I hated them all...or there was always an issue. So I asked Raymond. He said “You will find an apartment by the end of September, 2nd floor....Now come back to me in 2 years when you’re with the man you’re going to marry.” I didn’t believe him about the apartment. I’d been looking for 6 mos...and getting depressed. Within a week I found my dream apt out of the blue. Priced right, everything I was looking for. Raymond was right, except that it was on the 8th Floor, not the 2nd floor. I just moved in and I’m so happy there.
