hey thanks for answering these questions.. i'm also travelling to NY and read through the thread.

you were asking for feedback... i went to the website www.newyorkairportservice.com

seems to cause a lot of pop ups on my computer and lots of irrelevant information.

i'd like to ask... if i were to touch down at JFK at 10pm, would there still be public transport to travel to the city centre? would it be safe for a girl to travel alone?

Public transport would still be running but I'm not sure how frequently, you may have to wait for a while. I think the Airtrain and Long Island Railroad would be okay at that time, safety wise, not sure about the subway though.

You would be better to get the supershuttle or a taxi. Check out www.supershuttle.com

I wouldn't take the Super Shuttle as you'll waste time being driven around as the van drops off people one by one.

The last bus from JFK on the nyairportservice.com bus is at 11:10pm. If you can make it that would be the best option.

I would not be at all hesitant about taking the Airtrain/LIRR combination into Manahttan. You will be surprised at how busy the subways are still even at midnight.

Shien, I see your are from Singapore and assume that this is your first trip to NY, I hope you have a great time.

I don't normally recommend the supershuttle because they have to drop lots of people off, but late at night they are usually not that busy because the traffic isn't as bad and their usually aren't as many people travelling. The Airtrain/LIRR is good also but it depends on where you are staying, you may then have to get a taxi from Penn Station to your hotel whereas the supershuttle takes you to your door. I catch the subway all the time late at night in Manhattan but I would be more wary of catching it from JFK late at night.

How can I get from JFK airport to Albany?

Albany has an airport, a Amtrak train station, and a Greyhound bus station. The choice is up to you.

Where is the closest Greyhound Bus Station to JFK Airport? I need to send luggage to Florida on the bus.

thanks
The one and only Greyhound Bus Line station is at the hugh bus terminal on 8th Ave between 40th and 42nd Street (west of Times Square). It is run by a regional agency (same as thr airports).

Take any subway line to Times Square and walk one block west, or the A, C or E directly to the "Port Authority"
Hi everyone,

This will be my first visit to NJ by JFK intl airport, and I don't know which is the best and cheapest way to go NJ (Piscataway).
What are my option?
I really appreciate all your help.

Why are you flying into JFK if you are going to Piscataway?????
Fly into Newark.

If you insist on flying into JFK...

best option to Piscatway is of course a car service; probably about $100+.

the absolute cheapest option is subway to WTC. Then take PATH to Newark Penn Station. Then take NJ Transit train from Newark Penn Station to the train station nearest Piscataway (Piscataway itself has no train station). Then take taxi to your ultimate destination from there.
